About

Pocket Lap started as a group chat between three friends who kept sending each other screenshots of odd little racing games. Somewhere between arguing about drift physics and comparing tilt controls, we decided to turn it into a proper site. Nothing corporate — just people who genuinely enjoy this stuff.,We only cover games we have installed and played ourselves, usually for at least a few days. A racer needs a couple of hours before you know whether the handling is a keeper or a chore, and arcade titles often hide their best ideas behind the first few levels. We take that time.,Choosing what to review is simple. We look for something with a spark — a clever control scheme, a soundtrack that gets stuck in your head, a difficulty curve that respects you. Big studios and tiny solo devs get the same treatment. Popularity doesn't earn a spot; the game has to be fun in the hand.,We keep the writing plain and the opinions ours. If something drags or the menus fight you, we say so. The goal is that you close the tab knowing whether a game is worth your download.
